Beach Thriller

It's been almost twenty years since Holly set foot in Beauport, Massachusetts. A struggling novelist, her slumping sales have led to her eviction from her beloved New York apartment. Now, she must live in the last place she wants to be: her family's long-abandoned beach house.

She arrives on a mission from her literary agent: write a book that sells. Reinventing herself won't be easy. But at least she acquires some helpful friends along the way. There's Gail, the property-obsessed realtor who introduces her to a handsome handyman. The local psychic, Serena, is also in her corner, though she warns of impending danger. And then there's Jade, a runaway teen whom Holly finds hiding in the beach house attic. Jade has nowhere to go, so Holly takes her in. Soon after, Jade stumbles upon a job with the influential Carmichael family, a turn of events that no one, not even psychic Serena, saw coming. The Carmichael's town influence has waned over the years, but they'll forever hold a dark connection to Holly's tragic past. Their hidden secrets might also put young Jade in danger.

Despite the friends Holly makes, not everyone is pleased that the prodigal daughter has returned to Beauport. Someone is watching Holly's every move from the shadows.
